[SOLVED] Laptop Heatsink and Cooler Problem

Hey Guys,

I'm having a "Little" trouble with my laptop. Its a Toshiba M30 and is about 4 years old. recently my Laptop has been running very hot and the fan sounds like a helicopter. I think the cooler is about to die and want to fix the problem before it does or maybe just buy a new laptop. Does anyone know how much a new replacement cooler would cost?

First thing is first, get a can of dust off and clean the fan and the vent area.

Second, if you can open the back cover and do a visual inspection. May be there is somthing stuck in the fan, like lint or a dirt ball.

You did not mention where you were?. The price depends, check e-bay first to have a better idea.

Problem solved, turns out part was pretty cheap, only $30. Up and running like normal again :D
