M getting sound only and not picture. I had installed Xvid codec but no progress. If neone can help me pleaseeee
Is this on PC or Phone?
You might not have installed the codec properly. It's been a while since I installed mine on my SE W950i. I don't know how the installation works out on a Nokia 6600.
Also make sure your Smartmovie is the correct version for the phone.

this is on PC. Could u tell me all steps
Oh right,
Ok well if you want you might as well get K-Lite Codec pack from the following site.
Only the registered members can see the link
Go for the Full version (at the top) and download from any of the mirror links under "Location".
Once downloaded, install it and make sure that the box for XviD is checked as one of the codecs.
This should do the trick and you should be able to view the picture. You won't need to restart your pc :p

Thanx but it is only working in VLC player. Thanx again
It's supposed to work in Windows Media Player as well.
The whole point of the codec that I told you to download is that it'll install the codecs for Windows Media Player to be able to read the files and let you see the picture as well as audio.
Another problem COULD BE that the smartmovie file that you're trying to play is not encoded using XviD codec but MP4 codec instead.
If you installed Windows Media Player classic with the package then play via that.
Personally VLC player interface sucks and I would prefer WMP or WMP Classic :). If you're cool with VLC then no worries :good:
